For example, the Creative Writing and Film Arts programme unprecedentedly brings two interconnected areas together; the Animation and Visual Effects programme is the first local programme dedicated to animation offered at Bachelor’s level.
Our Business programmes catch the latest business development trends. For example, the Sports and Recreation Management programmes are geared towards business opportunities brought by increasing health awareness among the public and the popularity of large-scale sports events;
the International Hospitality and Attractions Management programme supplies manpower to a pillar of Hong Kong’s industry; the Business Intelligence and Analytics programme deals with big data generated by Internet technologies;
the Financial Technology and Innovation programme caters to the latest fintech innovations born out of the banking and financial services sector.
Our Early Childhood Education programmes train pre-school teachers in line with the Government’s 15-year free education policy. Special education needs (SEN) programmes have been developed to meet demand for SEN specialists.
Nursing programmes produce the greatest number of nursing graduates of Hong Kong per year, including both general and mental health nurses. We are the first institution in Hong Kong to see the need of offering a mental health nursing degree at undergraduate level.
With Government support, OUHK pioneered the Testing and Certification (T&C) programmes in view of the increasing public concerns for product safety. The curricula have been designed according to the Qualification Framework’s Specification of Competency Standards.
